Garfield Bargaining Update #2: We Need Your Input!
Your bargaining team met again with AHMC this week and continued making early progress toward strengthening your contract. In this session, we took initial passes on several economic proposals, the first step in a long process to secure improvements that put Nurses first including:
- (ATB) wage increases
- Clinical Ladder enhancements
- Evening and Night Shift Differentials
- Standby and On‑Call pay improvements
These are very early proposals, and we expect significant dialogue and back‑and‑forth with management in the weeks to come. We will continue to pushing forward on the issues raised as priorities:
- Patient Safety
- Hospital Security
- Broken Equipment
- Missed Meals and Breaks Floating
Your bargaining team is committed to fighting for a contract that reflects these priorities.
We Need Your Input!
Take the Breaks & Meals Survey
Please take our new survey so the bargaining team can better understand how often breaks are missed and what happens when they are.

Your experiences will directly shape our demands at the table.
Soon, we’ll reach out with information about joining the Contract Action Team, and other ways that you can help the bargaining team to win an even stronger contract for Nurses at GMC.

In Unity,
P.S., A quick note about our Case Management RNs: they have their union election this Wednesday, and management is already retaliating. They called a mandatory captive‑audience meeting, something they’ve never done before! They even forced a nurse on FMLA to come in. This small unit needs our full support. Please stand with them and show solidarity as they fight to win their union!
