Healthcare workers and public sector workers stood together in solidarity. Our Nurses Brittany Brandon and Guillermo Mendoza-Lujan attended the SEIU CA Budget rally, representing 121RN. As members of SEIU, we recognize the importance of worker solidarity. We urge that the burden of budget shortfalls should not always fall on the most vulnerable.

The urge to dismantle essential programs that benefit our communities, in particular,
our children are cuts that go too far. We demand a sensible balanced budget. Corporations should pay their fair share.

This event was a call to action for all members and community allies to defend our vision of a secure California where every family can afford housing, food, medical care, and the necessities of life.
