SGV Tribune: Nurses at two San Gabriel Valley hospitals vote to authorize strikes

After months of failed labor negotiations, they say a walkout may be their only option.

Reporting in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune on strike votes at Greater El Monte Hospital and Garfield Medical Center, where union Nurses voted overwhelmingly to approve an unfair labor practice strike: "We’re here to save people, not put our own lives at risk, and management needs to start taking our safety seriously,” said Samantha Alegria an ER Nurse at Greater El Monte Hospital.
