We had another meeting with Natalie, the Ontario CEO, and we were disappointed by her lack of responsiveness to our concerns. She claimed that the heating problem was solved, but we know that many units are still freezing. She also refused to provide us with the seats we requested and dismissed our complaints about the equipment shortages. We feel that this is unfair and disrespectful, especially when we see other workers at the hospital getting what they need.
Why are we being treated differently?
We also presented our proposals on workplace violence, classification, and PPE provision, which are essential for our safety and quality of care. However, we faced resistance and hostility from the management side. We bargain in good faith, and we are tired of their delays and excuses. We deserve better, and so do our patients. We meet again on April 4, 2023
