The Cal/OSHA Aerosol Transmissible Disease (ATD) Standard is an enforceable regulation that applies in healthcare, corrections, and other high-risk environments. This class will discuss the scientific basis for the ATD Standard and highlight specific provisions of the regulation—including infection control planning; use of masks, respirators, and other personal protective equipment; airborne infection isolation; and medical screening procedures. The course will emphasize how nurses and healthcare workers can use these regulations to secure protections against COVID-19 and other infectious disease hazards in their facilities.
Sponsored by UCLA-LOSH and Nurse Alliance of SEIU California.
