Dear SEIU 121RN Members,

It is with a heavy heart that I share some sad news: our sister SEIU Local 121RN member Jennifer Laurie, an RN at Kindred South Bay, is battling Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Jennifer sat with me on our Union's Executive Board and served as a Steward at her hospital.

She was part of our "Midnight Ride" to Sacramento last summer to win passage of our new "Stop Repeat Offender Hospitals" law.

On the family's Go Fund Me page, her daughter says that Jennifer "has found herself in the sunset of her life"—and we are heartbroken.
