WHAT: In solidarity with the thousands of L.A. women and men anticipated to participate in Wednesday’s march and rallies, the RNs of SEIU Local 121RN will provide First Aid services from their colorful purple RV.
WHY: Union RNs wholeheartedly support May Day participants marching in honor of International Workers Day. They support march organizers’ efforts to defend workers’ right to form a Strong Union—and honor all workers who lead frontline efforts to raise standards in our industries. RNs are at the forefront of advocating for patient safety. In the coming months, RNs will bring special attention to our efforts to improve patient and nurse safety with California Senate Bill 227 (Leyva) (bit.ly/SB227_121RN) and our work to elect candidates for both state and national offices who will partner with us as we work for affordable, quality healthcare for all.
