The RNs of Pacifica Hospital, the last community hospital in the San Fernando Valley, often serve the low-income, under-insured in our neighborhood. Many of us have cared for generations of families for decades. Our “Where is the love?” contract campaign helped preserve patient services, tackle rampant turnover, and protect staffing ratios for crucial support staff, such as floor secretaries and Nurse Assistants.
