This is the first of many special emails for our SEIU Local 121RN Stewards to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest Union literature, our event calendar and other important news.
There’s still space left at our April 23rd and 24th Morongo CEU event: “Safe Practice is a Winner!” And, let's fill our Union hall!: Legislative “Meet’n’Greet” on Thursday, April 26th where RNs can talk to state elected leaders face-to-face about the importance of our new bill designed to stop hospitals from violating safe staffing regulations. Finally, save the date to participate in the May Day march and rally—look for details coming soon.
Upcoming Steward Trainings
Our Union offers Steward Training throughout the year. It’s important that we keep our skills fresh to maintain a strong Union at our worksites. These training workshops ensure Stewards are aware of all aspects of labor law, our union contracts, workplace communication skills, the grievance process and more. We will learn new tools for signing up new members and ensuring members have a voice in politics, where so much about the work we provide is decided (like safe staffing and workplace violence protection).
