Responsibilities: You will be an integral member of a fast-paced Communications Department. Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Communications Specialist will support a robust communications program for SEIU Local 121RN members with an emphasis on website development, member outreach via electronic and social media, video production and graphic design—all with a keen grasp of our mission and message. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and be able to respond to time sensitive communications and deadlines. S/he must be a strong self-starter and have a commitment to fulfill the objectives of the organization. S/he must thrive in an environment with tight deadlines, changing priorities, high-pressure and irregular hours.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position.

Salary for this position is commensurate with the amount of the candidate's relevant professional experience. This position is represented by a staff Union. SEIU Local 121RN offers a generous benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and both a defined benefit pension plan and a 401(K) plan and generous holiday and vacation policies.
