Are you registered to vote? If you need to register, you can now do so online at http://registertovote.ca.gov/.  The last day to register and be eligible to vote in the Nov. 8 General Election is Oct. 24, 2016.

Here are some more important dates to remember:

Oct. 10-Nov 1      Vote-by-Mail Ballots are mailed to homes

Oct. 24                  Last day to register to vote

Oct. 25 - Nov 8   Period for new citizens sworn in after Oct. 24, 2016 to register to vote

Nov. 1                   Last day to request Vote-By-Mail Ballot

Nov. 8                  Election day -- 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
