Our new contract with hospital management was unanimously ratified over two days of voting June 11-12 at Garfield Medical Center and El Monte Community Hospital.
This contract includes a 10.5% minimum pay increase over the 4-year term. Nurses below the new wage scale will move up to the level called for by their years of experience. And medical benefits will be rolled back to what they were in 2014!
Our unity and show of strength allowed us to avoid a strike and gain the fair contract that we deserve! Thank you to all who participated in our Union actions. It worked!
