Bargaining on Monday, April 21 focused on health plan changes and modifications. The hospital proposed eliminating the free plan for part-time 1 employees and for families of all RNs. Only full-time employees would get the free plan.
Our Union counter was:
- Continue free plan for full-time and part-time employees and their families.
- Reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
- Freeze premiums at current level for the life of the contract.
- Eliminate deductible for diagnostic imaging and lab services offered by HPMC.
Additionally, our Union proposed placing the Paid Time Off policy in the Benefits section so that employees can easily access information about accruals and use of PTO.
