We’ve been bargaining our Union contract with hospital management, and we’re almost done!
However, there are rumors and tactics that are being used to divide us and take away our focus on finalizing our contract. Don’t fall for it!
A Union contract is legally binding. Promises that aren’t in a contract are not guaranteed.
In the past, management:
- Refused to pay us for our years of service.
- Tried to float us into all units, regardless of our competency or ability to provide proper patient care in those units.
- Has only paid us for 11 hours of work during Daylight Savings time.
But, we fought back! We’ve won on these issues only because we have a Union that comes with protections and guarantees. We’re still working on important issues, but we can only fight the attacks against us if we stay united!

"We’re committed to each other as co-workers and as Union members for strength in the workplace and to finalize our contract by filling out our membership cards.”
