Employees represented by SEIU 121RN who take the well-being assessment, earn an annual premium reduction incentive to help reduce the cost of the 2012 health insurance premiums.
- Employee Enrolled in Medical Plan—= $500
- Employee + Spouse/RDP/ABR Enrolled in Medical Plan + $1000
During negotiations, our Union bargaining team discussed the survey with the hospital and our concerns of confidentiality. The hospital team told us that your responses to survey questions are confidential and that any breach of this would be considered a HIPAA violation.
Well-Being Assessments must be completed by December 2, 2011 in order to earn the full incentive.

Voluntary Layoffs
The Providence system has announced a voluntary layoff plan. We all have questions about this plan and about the timing of the announcement. At Tarzana, however, the hospital is continuing to hire new employees. Five RNs were hired last month, and the hospital still has to comply with Title 22 and mandated staffing ratios.
In the event that there are layoffs, our Union contract has layoff protection language which states that every attempt must be made to place employees in vacant available positions. When the hospital laid off employees in 2010, 121RN represented employees were placed in other jobs.
