UPDATE: Compassus Nurses! We’re at the Bargaining Table.
We Need You Behind Us!
August 26, 2026
Compassus Home Health Nurses: your Bargaining Team presented proposals to management this week that would ensure that Nurses aren’t overworked and forced to spend less time providing critical care for your patients. Your Bargaining Team also presented a proposal to compensate Home Health Nurses appropriately.
In response, management simply said “that is not something we want to do.” Instead, they made an economic proposal that doesn’t match the value Home Health Nurses bring to Compassus. Their offer would make it harder to retain staff, which makes our patients less safe and puts our licenses at risk.

These are very early proposals. We expect significant dialogue and back-and-forth with management in the weeks to come, but your Bargaining Team has already expressed where the system is breaking down, and how to fix it, including:
- Patient Care – Patients deserve to receive care from a Nurse that’s not rushed and overworked by Compassus management.
- Overwork – Nurses shouldn’t be pushed by management to work faster and spend less time with patients, leading to Nurse burnout and less time with patients.
- Stability – Nurses deserve a stable workplace where they can work 40 hours a week without being flexed.
Show management that you stand with your bargaining team in the fight for a fair Union Contract for Home Health Nurses. Wear your “I Support Our Bargaining Team” sticker to management’s captive audience meeting on 9/16.
Management can make you come to a meeting, but they can’t make you hide your support for your Bargaining team.
Contact your Bargaining Team members, Randy Dutter and Luke Hallberg, to get a sticker.
