Your Team Is at the Table.
Management Is Stalling.

July 21, 2026 · Bargaining Update

Your bargaining team sat down with AHMC for our first sessions this week, and we came in ready to work.

In this opening session, we reached tentative agreements on several foundational articles. This is the first step in a long process to secure improvements that put Nurses first, today’s TA’s included:

Recognition Union

Representation Seniority

Grievance Procedure

Job Security

Job Classification & Reclassification

These are very early proposals, and we expect significant dialogue and back-and-forth with management in the weeks to come. We’re going to address staffing and fair compensation for your work.

We plan on telling management exactly where the system breaks down:

Cancelling staff too early. People get sent home right before the floor gets busy — then management scrambles to float or call someone in.

No plan for normal call-offs. Every unit has call-offs every week. A schedule that pretends otherwise isn’t a staffing plan.

Leaning on Charge to take a full assignment. When the first two happen, Charge picks up the slack — and then there’s no one running the floor.

Here’s what we need from you

Don’t wait on a steward or a rep to carry this. The more of us who get involved, the more management has to move.

  • Talk to your coworkers about the survey results
  • Tell your bargaining team what’s happening on your unit
  • Stay ready — we’ll keep you notified as sessions continue
