We were at the table today and we want to give you a quick update on where things stand. Every proposal we’ve brought to this table has been built around one thing: making sure El Monte retains the best nurses, and that this hospital is a place where we can build careers, not just survive shifts.

Here’s what we can share from today:

Education — We made movement today. We’re working toward an agreement that puts real support behind nurses who want to grow in this profession. We’ll share more as the language gets finalized.

Floating — Still waiting on management’s response to our floating proposal. We haven’t forgotten it and we won’t let them either.

Seniority — We presented updated language to honor the time and experience nurses bring with them when they transition from other patient-care roles into RN positions here at El Monte. No economic impact — just recognition of the commitment you’ve already shown this hospital.
