Three-quarters of the contract is done, and we are still fighting. Weeks have passed since we submitted our workload and productivity articles to Compassus — and we have heard nothing back. These aren’t minor issues. They are at the core of why you organized: you deserve a clear, consistent, enforceable standard for how your time is measured and how your work is valued.

We reached tentative agreements on two important articles: floating protections and subcontracting. On subcontracting, we secured language that requires Compassus to exhaust every effort to use bargaining unit nurses before going outside the unit. On floating, we locked in clear procedures and protocols for how nurse resources are allocated in and out of your service area — so you have protection, not just policy.

We are pressing Compassus to respond on workload and productivity. Hopefully we can get to economics. The team will keep you posted.
