Greater El Monte Community Hospital Center

Petition Delivered.
Now AHMC Needs to Deliver Too.

June 24, 2026 · Bargaining Update

We delivered your petition at the table.
Here’s where things stand on the issues you raised:

Education: Management flatly rejected our proposal for paid time toward continuing education, conferences, and training. Their position: nurses are on their own for cost and time, even as the gap in required knowledge keeps growing. This comes at a moment when nurses need that support more, not less.

Floating: Still no response from management on our floating proposal. Nurses continue to be floated without proper certifications, and this remains unresolved.

Flexing: Nurses are being flexed off shifts without guaranteed hours, disrupting their income and personal lives. Management points to census and revenue, but the impact is the same: nurses bear the instability as turnover continues to rise.

Equipment & Accountability: Management won’t commit to fixing infrastructure issues and instead wants to push the reporting burden onto nurses, with no consistent system to do it.

What’s Next:

On issue after issue, management is delaying. Delaying responses, delaying language, delaying the real conversation about wages and economics, while the responsibility for safe staffing, working equipment, and education stays squarely on their side of the table.

We’re not letting up. We delivered your voice today, and we’ll keep showing up with it until management starts showing up too.
