Licensed Healthcare Professionals
Los Robles Regional Medical Center (2020)
Licensed Healthcare Professionals at Los Robles Regional Medical Center noticed the grass was greener on the other side for their RN colleagues who were already SEIU 121RN members. So in 2020, the Professionals (including Case Managers, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Clinical Lab Scientists, and Dietitians) united, organized, and voted for SEIU 121RN representation. In their first Union contract, the Licensed Professionals won substantial raises, a fair wage scale, just cause protections, increased PTO, and they protected their tuition reimbursement & student load assistance from cuts. In their second Union contract, they won increased differentials, added steps to wage grid (more raises), won changes to make the hospital more secure (including 121RN members having a voice in the hospital’s safety practices), and protected their health insurance against threats to take it away.

Encino Hospital Medical Center (2020)
July 2020: Licensed Professionals (Case Managers, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Clinical Lab Scientists, and Dietitians) voted to unionize with SEIU Local 121RN, joining their RN colleagues who were already SEIU 121RN members. In their first contract, the Licensed Professionals won a fair wage scale for the first time, just cause and progressive discipline protections, and tuition reimbursement.

Kindred Hospital Rancho (2021)
An overwhelming majority of RNs at Kindred Hospital Rancho in Rancho Cucamonga voted for SEIU 121RN representation. In their first Union contract, the Nurses won substantial raises, retention/longevity incentive pay, increased minimum rates, a committee giving Union Nurses input on patient care practices, and a safer workplace.

San Dimas Community Hospital (2021)
Nurses at Prime Healthcare’s San Dimas Community Hospital voted overwhelmingly to be represented by SEIU 121RN in November, 2021. In their first contract, the Nurses won the ability to have real input on improving patient care and working conditions, a prohibition on requiring RNs to perform duties in specialized areas where they are not adequately trained to work, protections for Nurses who report health and safety concerns, and dedicated Break/Resource Nurses.

Kindred Hospital Los Angeles (2022)
September 2022: The vast majority of Registered Nurses at Kindred Hospital Los Angeles voted “yes” to SEIU 121RN representation. In their first contract, they won substantial wage increases, a fair disciplinary process, a brand new committee where Nurses and management work as equals to solve issues, PPE for all employees, safe patient handling, workplace violence program and training, whistleblower protections.

Anaheim Regional Medical Center (2024)
Three hundred RNs at AHMC’s Anaheim Regional Medical Center voted in a landslide for SEIU 121RN representation. In their first contract they won: substantial raises, improved security prior to implementation of SB 596; new committees, where Nurses and management work as equals to solve issues around patient safety, hospital security, and pandemic preparedness.

February 2025: The vast majority of Licensed Professionals at AHMC’s Anaheim Regional Medical Center join their Registered Nurse colleagues by voting to join SEIU 121RN. In their first contract they won substantial wage increases

Providence at Home with Compassus (2026)
Licensed Professionals employed by Providence at Home with Compassus voted unanimously for SEIU 121RN representation in February, 2026. They joined RNs at Providence at Home with Compassus who were already represented by SEIU 121RN, and they are negotiating their first Union contract.

Garfield Case Managers (2026)
Case Managers at Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park voted unanimously for SEIU 121RN representation in February, 2026, joining their RN colleagues who were already SEIU 121RN members, and they are preparing to negotiate their first Union contract.
