✊”Break nurses are constantly pulled into full assignments, leaving patients without coverage and nurses working 12-hour shifts without breaks,” Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Cardiac Telemetry Nurse Kevin Grellman told KFI AM 640. “Some days, we barely have time to get water, use the restroom, or eat. When we raise concerns, our concerns are dismissed. Management calls it saving money — but it puts patient care at risk and violates our contract.”

✊SEIU 121RN Orthopedic nurse Stephanie Anasco expressed her frustration with Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center which she said are driven by a desire for profit, which in the long run will have an adverse impact on the patients. “I know there’s value in what they do,” Anasco told the Burbank Leader. “But I see the patient — they see the dollar signs. It changes you when you see things through green-colored glasses,” she added.
