On Friday, July 25th, Nurses at Kindred Hospital South Bay voted unanimously to ratify their new collective bargaining agreement. The contract includes a wage scale—a first for KSB Nurses. The new wage scale recognizes years of service at Kindred, with each step providing a 2% increase. This change promotes transparency, supports retention, and rewards experienced nurses.

This win came on the heels of the first picket KSB Nurses have ever held at their facility. At the picket, Nurses boldly spoke out about the hospital’s failure to attract and retain staff, leaving them short-handed to care for their elderly patients.

KSB Nurses showed management that they were unified and ready to tell truths that Kindred didn’t want the public to hear. As a result, they won their strongest contract to date.
