“Experienced and dedicated nurses are leaving Kindred South Bay because the current reliance on traveler registry Nurses is unsustainable. Our patient loads are increasing as we cover for others, and this isn’t the fault of the registry Nurses. The real issue is that Kindred fails to offer fair incentives for Nurses to stay. With the cost of living rising, Kindred’s stagnant approach is unacceptable. We have the power to change this with a strong contract. It’s time for Kindred to show they truly care about their Nurses and patients.”

We are making significant progress! We’ve reached tentative agreements on contract articles clarifying Union Membership at the hospital and increased the number of stewards available to you. Stewards are mentors and advocates for union members with questions or concerns at work.
