Nurses at El Monte and Garfield hospitals didn’t back down! We demanded retro pay on AHMC’s illegal wage freeze, which violated the terms of our legally binding Union contract.

We pushed the hospital and we won. Yes, we get our raises. And yes, we get back pay from the raises that the hospital withheld.

• Starting in May, we’ll get our 2.5% increase that was supposed to begin April 2020
  • The hospital has to pay us backpay for the lost increase in three installments: May, June and July
• Starting in August, we’ll get our 2.75% increase that was due to begin this April 2021
  • Also in August, the hospital has to pay us backpay for the lost increase since April 2021
