Management Backs Off Bonus-Only Proposal!

During negotiations on Jan. 9th and 13th:

  • Management backed off its lump sum bonus-only proposal and is now proposing a 2%, 2.25%, 2.25% raise, but as of yet they have not agreed to retroactive pay.
  • Tentative agreement reached on Article 9 — Income Security, and Article 27 — Grievance Procedure.
  • Management agreed to continue the HMO health plan and the teams continue to negotiate the terms.

Our Current Union Proposals:

4% wage increase the first year, 3.75% year two and three

A 25-year step increase

Maintain current scheduling practices

Increase to Clinical ladder pay with changes for easier access

Increase to SRP rate

RN certification; annual bonus, and increase to bonus amount  (not limited to when you renew)

Additional leaves of absence protections

Current Management Proposals:

PTO to be based on hours worked, not FTE status. If you take a day without pay you do not collect PTO

Elimination of Extended Sick Leave

Change of requirements to negotiate with union prior to increasing healthcare premiums

RN jobs subject to subcontracting

No retroactive pay
