Members Earn CEUs at Local 121RN Training
Nurses from most of the 17 hospitals represented by 121RN earned up to 11 continuing education units at training organized by 121RN held at Morongo Casino and Resort in Cabazon in early December. The training covered the challenges of being a charge nurse and how to avoid medical errors. Local 121RN provided a buffet dinner the evening of the first day.
Local 121RN also held sign-ups for COPE or Committee on Political Education, in anticipation of this year’s elections. Barbara Washington-Knight, chapter president at Kaiser Moreno Valley Community Hospital, won a Vizio flat-screen television in a drawing among those who signed up for COPE at the event. Other members won raffle prizes.
